What’s Pépouze?

In the South of France, "pépouze" means taking your time, slowing down, and savoring moments in tranquility.

To embrace this mindset, we bought a house in the heart of a small village in Languedoc, and in May we’re leaving Sweden to settle in Paulhan. We will also open a wine shop along with a guest room for B&B where we will offer personalized themed stays in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with wine as the main character.

Caviste Pépouze

The wine shop sits on the ground floor of the house, in a stone-walled room where olives were pressed to extract oil in the 18th century.

We focus on wines produced using traditional methods and with the utmost respect for nature. You’ll find wines from Languedoc, along with bottles from other regions of France, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Spain, among others.

The shop will open from June 1st. Online store will be available in the fall.

Bed & Breakfast and wine trips

The guest room is also on the ground floor with a window overlooking a charming sunny square. Just around the corner, there’s a small private courtyard which invites you to enjoy breakfast made with local products or a glass of wine in the late afternoon.

This B&B is available year-round. In summer we offer private three-night stays with wine tastings and personalized outings. Come enjoy the peace and quiet of our home, and the surrounding Languedoc region.
